As an archaeologist with a passion for exploring the rich heritage of our world, I recently welcomed the New Year at Sunrise View, and I must say, it was a delightful retreat. Michaela, the owner, embodied warmth and friendliness; from our first hello, I felt at home. The location was perfect, nestled in the quiet beauty of Mayo, just a stone's throw from the stunning Lacken Beach. The views were breathtaking, whether gazing at the sunrise from the terrace or enjoying the lush garden. Breakfast was an absolute highlight-Michaela's farm-fresh eggs featured in a traditional Irish breakfast that energized me for the day ahead. Not to mention, the amenities were thoughtful; I really appreciated the flat-screen TV for a bit of relaxation in the evenings after my travels. Two things I definitely recommend are following Michaela's directions for arrival-trust me, the scenic route is way better than what Google suggests-and taking time to just soak in the serene surroundings. Whether you're traveling solo or as part of a small group, Sunrise View is an ideal spot to unwind, and it's a place I wouldn't hesitate to revisit. Thanks, Michaela, for an unforgettable stay!
